20-Week Junior Domestic Competition
Central Coast Waves Basketball is excited to present our Summer 2026 Junior Domestic Competition, proudly sponsored by Guzman y Gomez (Lake Haven and Tuggerah). This comprehensive 20-week competition runs across Terms 1 and 2, commencing 27th January and continuing through to 24th June.
Available Divisions
We offer competitive divisions for both boys and girls, catering to ages 10 to 17:
Boys Divisions:
- U12 Boys
- U14 Boys
- U16 Boys
- U18 Boys
Girls Divisions:
- U12/14 Girls
- U16/18 Girls
Age Eligibility
For the purpose of determining eligibility for a given age division in the Summer 2026 Domestic Competition, a player’s age is defined by the age they are prior to 1st July 2026.
Important Age Eligibility Notes
- The maximum age requirement is strict: players cannot play down an age division under any circumstances.
- The minimum age requirement is more flexible: younger players may be approved to play up an age division.
- Playing up is considered on a case-by-case basis, with player safety and development as priorities

Competition Schedule
Term 1 (First 10 Weeks): 27th January to 1st April Easter School Holidays (Competition Break): 7th April to 17th April Term 2 (Second 10 Weeks): 21st April to 24th June
Game Times
Wednesday Schedule:
- U12 Boys: 5.00pm
- U14 Boys: 5.50pm and 6.40pm
- U12/14 Girls: 5.50pm
- U16/18 Girls: 8.30pm
Tuesday Schedule:
- U16 Boys: 4.30pm and 5.20pm
- U18 Boys: 5.20pm and 6.10pm
Please note: Division timeslots may be subject to changes if deemed necessary.
Registration Fee
All Junior Divisions: $275.00 per player
Basketball NSW Membership Requirements
All players must hold a valid Basketball NSW (BNSW) Player + Club Affiliation membership. The following prices include the $5.50 Basketball Australia levy:
6-Month Membership:
- Ages 12 and Up: $95.50
- Ages 8-11: $74.50
- Under 8s and Volunteers: $37.00
12-Month Membership:
- Ages 12 and Up: $129.50
- Ages 8-11: $105.50
- Under 8s and Volunteers: $58.00
Secondary Club Affiliation (for players who hold BNSW memberships through other clubs):
- 6-Month: $35.00 (all ages)
- 12-Month: $55.00 (all ages)
Note: School events and special events (family and school) are acceptable reasons for non-availability.

“Play Twice – Pay Less”: Register in multiple competitions and receive 25% off your competition fees (discount applies to the cheaper of the two competitions).
“Bring A Buddy – Split The Bill”: New player recruitment incentive offering 25% off both the new player’s and referring player’s competition fees.
No Team Nomination Fee: Continues this season at $0!
